While STEM education at K-12 level is becoming increasingly advanced, students in many remote communities remain disadvantaged. There is a huge gap between rural and urban counterparts in the accessibility of these opportunities. With this in mind, YSI is working with schools in remote areas of India to provide various STEM courses on Robotics, AI, IoT etc.
YSI is happy to announce that we started Robotics micro degree program by collaborating with Aavishkar.cc (https://instagram.com/avishkaaredu) for schools in remote villages of India.
A program that combines meaningful community-based learning for students in underprivileged/ remote areas on speech, debate and research delivered either face-to-face or virtually. This program model is a partnership between schools in urban and rural areas of India in which each team of students in remote area schools are paired with students in urban area schools. Over a course of 6 weeks they collaborate together to prepare and present on a topic provided to them. This program teaches them to collaborate with students outside of their regular classrooms, work collectively in a group and build personal confidence in their presentation skills.
